A TALK WITH A 6 YEAR OLD
Ian walks into the room (looking sad) and climbs on the couch.
Me: Hey buddy, what's up?
Ian: I want Ava to come home RIGHT now!
Me: You and me both, buddy. It's taking just too long.
Ian: Why???
Me: Oh, Ian....I wish I knew......
Ian: I want to be the FIRST one to make Ava smile when we get her.
Me: I have no doubt in my mind .... you will be! Sniff.

AWWW...too sweet. It is so hard on the little ones. Hopefully things will move along faster very soon.
so sweet , I swear he reminds me so much of my Jacob, they are so alike.
What a precious little guy! If must be so hard for them to try to understand the why of this long wait when we ourselves have a hard time comprehending it.
Hugs to you all!
Keep smilin!
Awww, how sweet. Spoken with the simple innocence of every 6 year old little boy. Sniff sniff.
k....why am "I" crying over that???!!!
This really has gone on toooo long!!! lol
Heart wrenching!
I was just sitting at Chris' baseball practice thinking about how last year I thought I would be sitting with Hope in a stroller for all of his games this year...
Now I'm worried about next year's games...
Big sniff!
Melt my heart. It's so beautiful how children express love.
Awwww!
What an EXCELLENT big brother he is going to be!!
Awww.... that is sooooo adorable!!
Reminds me of Francis who is also 6 - he also says these things - he can't wait to feed her and bathe her - he draws the line at diapers though!!
It's so darn hard, so sorry that it's taking so long.
At least it's not still snowing!!
Happy Spring!?!
