News from China?

I ordered a new bird cage online (how else?) for one of my birds. I had just received an email a couple days ago stating that the entire cage MUST be inspected before the delivery man leaves or I will have to pay to ship it back. The nice man opened all the boxes while I carefully inspected everything. We were talking about the cost of shipping an item so big when he said, "Miss, do you realize this package came to you all the way from China?" (I thought it came from Pennsylvania). At the moment he said that I noticed the paper that the perches were wrapped in. Take a look at this...............................................................................................

I explained to him that I was adopting a baby girl from China to help explain the tears in my eyes. Today seemed like a really low day (in the adoption world) until now. It helps to get a little news from China. I just wish I could read Chinese.

Melissa,
They thought we were going to get through all of July in July. They now believe the cut off will be July 13th (15 days worth). There has been a pattern the last few months of 7 days, 9, 11, 13 & now 15 days. Also the CCAA is FINALLY moving and it was reported that it could be closed for 3 weeks. (I'm not buying that!)It was later reported that each department will move at seperate times so there will be little down time. (I am buying that!) The sad part is that they may not send this months referrals until August when they re-open. We are heading off now to the camper. Talk to you next week.

Okay talk about Fate. That's so neat about the paper. The last couple post from the RQ have been real downers.

Have fun camping!!! See you next week.

I love the story about the cage. Always nice to have those China reminders. Hope you had a good time at the lake, hope it wasn't too hot. I'll be waiting to see how you did this week. I ate bad this weekend. We'll see!

Anonymous,
Hmmmmm. Let me think........... Maybe, something DID happen today or was it 15 years ago today.
Maybe, if you would let me take your picture and NOT give me a hassle or let us celebrate your B-day without your boyfriend (even though Dad says you can't date until your 16) I would have made mention of this VERY important event. I promise to make a tribute to you as I did for your little brother.
