Ian Lost His Tooth
Ian lost his very first tooth this morning! He had been telling me that his tooth hurt and I checked it last week but it wasn't loose. After breakfast this morning Ian handed me the tooth. There was no warning, no tears, no nothin, not even a wiggle. I really thought he would be scared but it didn't bother him in the least! So, what's a tooth going for these days? ( I'm wondering if I need some reading glasses because his picture looks like he doesn't have any bottom teeth.....should retake picture.....too sleepy).

Our going rate - five bucks. (I used to get a dollar!)
You know, Justin has lost about 6 or 7 teeth, and Jacob has lost NONE. Strange for twins huh?
Your son is so cute!
Being a teacher of young children for the last 10 years, I have steadily seen the rate going up. Anywhere from a dollar to 5 dollars for the first tooth. Second tooth, not so much.
L received $5 from the Tooth Fairy a couple of weeks ago.
Wow, you can really rake in the cash with those babies! I'd better start a fund alongside the college fund. Let us know what the going rate is in your household. How exciting for Ian!
Ian ended up getting $4 for his tooth. I only had 2 twenty's & 4 ones in my purse & wasn't about to give him a twenty. I think he was actually excited to receive 4 one dollar bills instead of one 5.
What a cutie pie! $4 that's pretty good I'd say, and hey it looks like more that a five dollar bill would!
I have a teeth phobia!!! I can't stand anything to do with teeth!!! My husband has to look in Mikayla's mouth - I can't do it. I hate the dentist (although, I'm sure he's a lovely man!)...
maybe it's coz my Mum didn't believe in the tooth fairy?!!!
The tooth fairy, here in Adelaide, is a scrooge - leaving only AUS$2 per tooth!!! (that's only about US$1.70!!) I better make sure my daughter doesn't see these comments... she doesn't know any better!!!
Lee-Anne,
I don't think I remember seeing anything about having a teeth phobia on your weird facts about me post. I KNEW you were holding back on us!
I just learned today that It was an ancient Chinese belief that if you plant a childs tooth in the ground it will incourage the new tooth to grow in straight.
I know I retain the strangest facts but I can't remember what I did yesterday!!!!!
Debbie,
I think I might just go plant Ian's tooth tonight. We just put a second child in braces a month ago!
