A HAPPY ENDING!!!!!!
We had a little 10 year old boy that was missing in the area of our office since yesterday afternoon. We are relieved to report he his home safe and sound with his family tonight. I am so proud of our little community as they all came together searching through woods and swamps looking for this little guy. I saw a woman in a wheelchair passing out flyers with this boys picture on it, people on horses, people with search dogs, children searching with their parents, store owners putting his picture in their windows, people passing out water, people from the Red Cross serving food to those hungry.......AMAZING people! Thank God for a happy ending!!!
I'm off to soak in a hot bath.

Oh my!! My heart is just aching reading this!!
A few weeks ago I "lost" Carter for a whole 5 mins at a busy park (When we went to that Chinese picnic). The park was SOOO busy and big and we were busy visiting and when we did a head count of our boys, we realized we only had 3.
Dale and I started running all over the park. I searched the entire play area and didn't see him. There was a train ride there and so I said to Dale he may have gone over there. He ran over and he wasn't there eaither.
I really started to panic then. "Did someone take him??? Did he go to the river that was very near by???" My heart has never hurt more nor have I ever been so scared. I couldn't even blog about it!!
I can't even imagine what this family must have been going through!!
Praise God for his safe return!!
ooops....forgot to tell you we obviously DID end up finding him!!!
He had been in the playgound equipment area the whole time!!!
He just must have been inside one of the tube things when I did my scan through 3 times!!!
When we found him trying to get on a swing (after the 4th time going past the swings) we both just grabbed him and sat down to hug him! We gave them all VERY strict rules of where they could or could not go from then on!!! Poor kids!! I'm sure my oldest two thought I was loosing it!! lol
Carter was totally oblivious to any of it!! Dale says..."well to him, he wasn't lost! He knew exactly where he was!"
Oh my poor heart!
I think every parent has had that "heart drop into your stomach" moment when you don't see your child right away - even if it is just for one second. I had a TERRIBLE experience these last 3 days with my daughter (that's why I didn't blog) It involved calling the police and everything. To make a long story short I told her B.F. grandmother off, like I have never told anyone off in my life, and am no longer talking to her. (my daughter also got a STIFF talking to) I finially found out where my daughter was by GPS traking on her grandmothers cell phone!
Where was the boy the whole time?
Thank God they found him.
Nobody knows where he was for 30 hours!!! He wasn't talking as of last night. They moved the police and news crew away from his house about 4:00 yesterday. We got news that he was caught sneaking back into his house around 6 pm. He is scared to death of the dark and won't even play flashlight tag with his brothers so I can't believe he had stayed out all night alone! He got in trouble with his grandmother and they think that is why he took off. They had reports that he was seen getting into a pick up truck but that wasn't true. It was pretty scary to say the least. We Thank God he is home safe.
That is so scary! I am glad to hear that he was found. I hope nothing happened to him while he was missing.
