HELP ME!

I'm having second thoughts on Ava's name. Settle down Melissa, what I should have said was Ava's middle name. I was so sure that I wanted her middle name to be Caroline. I'm just not so sure anymore. I also want to have part of her Chinese name as a middle name. Caroline is kind of a mouthful especially, if we use her Chinese name too. Is it going to be to much to have all those middle names? I also like Catherine, Claire, Kate (were you shocked that I used a K?). My middle name is Lynn and I was even thinking about Ava Lin. I just need advice. HEEELP!

I love the name AVA!! So glad to hear that's not the one you are thinking about changing!!

I like the idea of using Lin as well!

I'm sure whatever you choose, it will be just perfect! Just as an aside, Gwen's name is VERY long (she has two middle names) and even though it's a mouthful (and a lot to write on forms!) we wouldn't have it any other way. So no worries on that front, okay?

Ooooh, I understand your dilemma! ALL of those names are great with Ava! Personally, I'm using Elena for her first, with Jacquelyn (for my mom) for her first-middle name and then some form of her Chinese name for her second-middle name. I figure one day she'll love having so many connections and it will sure get her to learn her alphabet quickly! Good luck choosing! =)

As the mother of Mollianne Grace Qiu (which is pronounced "chee u"), there is no such thing as a long name. My poor daughter, when all is said and done, has 8 syllables and 23 letters. She will NEVER have enough squares and bubbles for her name on standardized tests. ;-) But I love Ava Lin. And I love Ava Caroline. If you do, too, then keep it! Just my .02. (And we are naming our next daughter Meisey Faith CN - not a short one either!)

Considering we haven't even picked a first name, I am probably the last person that should give advice. However, I LOVE Ava Lin. I love Claire as well - that is actually on our "short list" (which has about 100 names.)

Yep, we're rethinking our daughter's middle name too! We were one of about 100 families to petition for the same SN baby girl last week (didn't get her) and when we combined her given name with Meili Grace it was a bit much! I think we will just have to wait and see what her CN is and see how it all fits together. Ava Lin is beautiful!!!

What is that a picture of? Is that a goat in the "name that baby" box? I'm sorry...I'm just so baffled by it and I keep looking to see if I am just staring too hard...
Ava Caroline is a beautiful name. Stick with it!

All of the names you listed are beautiful; my personal favourite is Ava Claire, but that's coming from someone who is calling their child 'Thumbelina' =) my middle son wants to name our baby Hope, so we might use that somewhere in her name - Thumbelina Hope something-else-hard-to-pronounce - has a nice flow to it, don't you think?
